Dry Steam & Vacuum

Use the grey rubber curtain attachment on the steam & vacuum head for hard floors and this will leave the surface dry and squeaky clean. Remember to have water in the base of the vacuum to act as your filter. Never run the vacuum without the filter water in the base.

Select the soft plastic 'glider' insert Clip the 'glider' into place in the head Connect the floor tool to the extensions

Use the steam and vacuum simultaneously for normal soiling moving the head slowly in a forwards and backwards motion.

For heavily soiled areas use the steam on its own first to loosen the soiling then use steam & vacuum simultaneously to remove

As only a small amount of water is used most of the soil that is collected remains in the extension tubes and hose so after you have finished suck up some clear water to flush to dirt into the recovery tank and clean your system ready for next time.
Fill recovery tank with cold water to minimum level

Your steam vacuum system is now

ready to use on your floor

The VapourTek™ Sagittarius comes with a specialist tool for laminate floors. Use this tool in the same way as you would for the soft rubber tool on hard surfaces.

 

  

Dry Steam Only

All floor areas can be cleaned using dry steam with the exceptions of waxed or oil based sealers and felt. Dry steam will de-wax any waxed surface and break down any sealers that are emulsion based. On hard surfaces you will not require as much dry steam pressure as on absorbent surfaces. For dry steam only systems on a hard floor it is easiest to use the steam mop system unless the floor is heavily soiled in which case it may need a steam scrub first.

Rough or Dirty Surfaces - use the large rectangular brush directly onto these surfaces for best results. If the surface is not sharp then finish off with the steam mop

Smooth Surfaces - use the steam mop system on smooth surfaces unless you are trying to remove a waxed or emulsion finish in which case you should use the large rectangular brush.
